1. Principles and scope
Swiss Bar Shop respects the privacy of all users of the website and online shop (hereinafter referred to as “customer” or “customers”).
This privacy policy explains what personal data is collected, how it is processed, and what rights customers have. Swiss Bar Shop complies with the Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG) and, where applicable, the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Swiss Bar Shop processes personal data exclusively for the purposes for which it was transmitted or collected.
This privacy policy may be amended from time to time. The current version published on the website always applies.
2. Type and purpose of the data collected
Personal data is information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person (e.g., name, address, email address).
Processing personal data includes any handling of this data, such as collecting, storing, using, disclosing, transmitting, or deleting it.
Swiss Bar Shop collects data:
- automatically when you visit the website (e.g., log files, cookies),
- through direct input by the customer (e.g., order, registration, contact form).
2.1 Automatically collected data
When you visit the website, server log files are automatically stored (e.g., IP address, date/time, browser, operating system, provider). These are used to ensure technical operation, IT security, and optimization of the website.

2. 2 Data for orders, customer accounts, and contact
When you place an order, register, or contact us, Swiss Bar Shop collects the necessary personal data (e.g., name, address, email, payment details).
This data is used exclusively for contract processing and communication with the customer. Mandatory fields are marked accordingly; without this information, it is not possible to place an order or register.
After complete contract processing or deletion of the customer account, the data will be further processed in a restricted manner and deleted after the expiry of the statutory retention periods, unless consent for further use has been given.
The customer account can be deleted at any time by sending a message to the contact details below or directly via the account function.
3. Legal basis for processing
The processing of personal data is based on the following, depending on the purpose:
- Contract fulfillment (e.g., processing an order)
- Legal obligations (e.g., accounting)
- Legitimate interests of Swiss Bar Shop (e.g., IT security, direct marketing)
- Customer consent (e.g., newsletter).
Consent that has been given can be revoked at any time. The legality of the processing carried out up to that point remains unaffected.
4. Cookies, analytics services, and external content
4.1 Cookies
Swiss Bar Shop uses cookies to improve user-friendliness (e.g., shopping cart, language selection).
Session cookies: These are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies: These remain stored for longer and enable recognition.
Customers can deactivate cookies in their browser. However, this may lead to functional restrictions.
4.2 Web analysis & marketing
Swiss Bar Shop uses the following services for statistics, optimization, and marketing, among other things:

- is used to analyze user behavior.
- IP addresses are processed anonymously.
- Transmission to the USA is based on standard contractual clauses (SCC).

4.3 Social media plugins
Swiss Bar Shop may use plugins from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
When a page with a plugin is accessed, a connection to the servers of these providers is established, even if no account exists there or no login is available.
The purpose and scope of data collection are set out in the privacy policies of the respective providers:
Customers can block plugins by using browser add-ons (e.g., “Facebook Blocker”).
5. Newsletter
Swiss Bar Shop offers a newsletter using a double opt-in procedure.
Data used:
- Email address
- Optional information (for personalization)
- Information about opening and clicking behavior (for content optimization)
The newsletter can be unsubscribed at any time via the unsubscribe link or by notifying Swiss Bar Shop. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties for their purposes.
6. Disclosure of data
Swiss Bar Shop only discloses personal data if:
- the customer has expressly consented to this,
- it is necessary for the execution of the contract (e.g. payment service providers, shipping service providers),
- there is a legal obligation to do so.
Third-party service providers (e.g., hosting, newsletter, payment processing, logistics) are contractually obliged to process the data only in accordance with instructions and with appropriate protective measures.
7. Data security
Swiss Bar Shop takes technical and organizational measures (TOMs) to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.
However, the transmission of data via the Internet (e.g., by email) may still present security vulnerabilities. Absolute protection against access by third parties is not possible.
8. Customer rights
Within the framework of applicable data protection law, customers have the following rights in particular:
- Information about the personal data processed
- Correction of incorrect or incomplete data
- Deletion (“right to be forgotten”), provided there are no legal retention obligations
- Restriction of processing
- Data portability (if technically feasible)
- Objection to certain data processing (e.g., direct marketing)
- Revocation of consent given with effect for the future

10. Final provisions
